Urgent medical assistance
Urgent health care is available to everyone, national or foreign, documented or not, but to have full rights an Individual Health Card is required or to have official approval of the application to have complete access to health care.
If neither of these requirements have been fulfilled, health care can also be received through the Basque health system's health centres. In this case, to avail of free health care once in a position to do so, after the health issue has been resolved, the person will be sent to a health centre with the corresponding application form.

Urgent medical assistance timetables
Within the normal timetable, from 08:00 h to 17:00 h, health centres have a substitute doctor for emergency cases.
Outside this timetable until 08:00 am the following day, patients must use the Continuous Care Unit (PAC) de Las Arenas or Urduliz Hospital.
Patients may also use the free telephone number 112 for analysis of the situation and subsequent instructions.
